Weekend Roundup 

#1 Lake Central 7 Whiting 0
- Nick Kellams, Austen Wagoner, an Aaron Glatt combined on the shutout. Kellams was the winner. Chase Fieldhouse, Ryan Pachowicz, and Ryan Burvan all had multiple hits. 

#2 Zionsville 10 Avon 1 – Jared Wentz picked up the win allowing three hits, no runs, and striking out five over five innings of work. Troy Kuhn doubled and drove in two and Drew Small also drove in two. Nick Barrientos and Mic Richey each drove in a run.

#2 Zionsville 10 Avon 4 – Troy Kuhn picked up the win allowing six hits, one run, and striking out two over five innings of work. Nick Barrientos drove in three runs, Kareem Itani was 2-3 with a RBI and two runs, and Parker Dunshee drove in two runs.

Connersville 13 #3 Columbus North 6 – Connersville jumped out to an early led scoring 13 runs in the first two innings of the game.

#3 Columbus North 12 Connersville 6 – Columbus North pounded 15 hits, 6 of which were doubles. Soph. Christian Glass picked up his 1st varsity win throw 5.2 innings allowing 3 hits and 2 earned runs. Hunter McIntosh came on in relief to pitch the final 1.2 innings striking out 1. Columbus North is now 20-2 on the season

#4 Huntington North 8 Anderson 2 – Trevor Storie remained perfect on the mound picking up the win allowing just three hits. He also doubled twice at the plate. Evan Brown homered and Mitch Trieglaff doubled and tripled.

#4 Huntington North 7 Anderson 1 – Brock Gower picked up the win in game two allowing just on run.

#5 Andrean 6 FW Northrop 1 - Cody Haver (2012; Olivet Nazarene) pitched a complete game and hit a 3-run double.

#5 Andrean 3 Park Tudor 1 - Zac Ryan (2013; Georgia Tech) went 7 innings for the win.

#5 Andrean 14 Chesterton 8 - Andrean had 16 hits including a home run from Matt DeSomer (2014) and a 3-run double from Eric Rapacz (2013). K.J. Zelenika homered for Chesterton.

#7 New Albany 11 North Harrison 7 – Zach Worrall had a big day at the plate going 3-4 with two homeruns and two RBI. Jordan Striegel and Garrett Sherrell both went 3-4, Sherrell drove in two and Striegel drove in one. Jaron Forte added two RBI.

#7 New Albany 4 Corydon Central 0 - Josh Rogers improved to 9-0 on the season throwing a complete game shutout allowing five hits and striking out 15.

#8 Pendleton Heights 9 Mount Vernon (Fortville) 5 – Trevor Jennings led the offense going 2-3 with a homerun and four RBI. Parker Aul and Nick Hendershot both drove in a run and scored once.

#8 Pendleton Heights 14 Mount Vernon (Fortville) 9 – Hunter Cook went 3-5 with a homerun and three RBI to lead the offense. Nick Hendershot was 2-3 with two RBI and two runs, Mitch Patishall was 2-3 with a triple and two RBI, Trevor Jennings was 2-3 with a solo homerun, and Brogan Gray drove in two runs. John Weaver was 3-5 with four RBI and Troy Montgomery was 5-5 with a double for Mt. Vernon.

#9 Jasper 8 Northview 6

#10 Homestead 10 #16 Mishawaka Marian 5 – Volz led the offense going 3-3 with two runs. Mike Redden was 3-4 with a RBI. Jake Weber and Ault were both 2-4 with a RBI, Weber doubled. Brandon Soat doubled and drove in two runs and Josh Caccamo was 2-4 with a run.

Bishop Luers 12 #10 Homestead 8 – Hamel tripled and drove in three runs, Coy was 2-4 with a RBI and a run, Millard was 2-3 with a RBI and a run, and Cardenas doubled and drove in a run.

#11 Cathedral 12 Perry Meridian 2

#12 Crown Point 8 Western 4 – Morgan was 3-4 with a double to led the way offensively. Zach Plesac was 2-4 with two RBI, Jake Lindeman was 2-4, and Jenks drove in two runs. Brett Bayer and Nickla each drove in a run.

#12 Crown Point 15 Benton Central 6 – Jenks was 4-5 with a homerun and two RBI. Morgan was 3-3 with two doubles and three RBI, Joe Hopman was 3-4 with two doubles and three RBI, and Jake Lindeman homered and drove in two runs.

#13 Center Grove 10 Whiteland 0 – Mark Garrett threw all five innings allowing just one hit, two walks, and striking out 10. Brock Koehler was 2-3 with a double, homerun, RBI, and three runs. Nick Owen was 2-3 with two doubles and a RBI and Jay Prior was 2-3 with a double and RBI. Terreance Parks was 2-4 with two RBI and two runs and Austin Combs drove in two runs.

#15 Greenwood 6 #13 Center Grove 1 – Tylor Martin picked up the complete game victory allowing just three hits, one run, and striking out seven. He was 2-2 at the plate with a run. Alex Krupa was 2-4 with two runs, Connor Morris doubled and drove in two runs, and Connor Beidelman doubled and drove ina run.

#15 Greenwood 18 Indian Creek 0 – Six players had multi-hit games led by Alex Krupa who went 3-3 with a double, three RBI, and three runs. Landon Fink had a big day at the plate going 2-3 with two homeruns, five RBI, and three runs. Ethan Bailey was 2-2 with a double and two RBI and Tylor Martin was 2-3 with two doubles, two RBI, and two runs. Connor Morris and Conner Beidelman were both 2-3 with two runs, Morris doubled and Beidelman drove in a run.

#17 McCutcheon 7 Hamilton Southeastern 6 – Christian Vukas led the offense going 2-2 with a double, three RBI, and a run scored. Austin Kiracofe was 2-3 with two runs. Quintanilla was 2-2 with a RBI. Wes Edrington hit a solo homerun for HSE.

#21 Greensburg 17 Mooresville 13 - Collin Rigney earned the win throwing 2 and 1/3 striking out 1 and allowing 1 earned run in relief. Austin Schultz was 4-5 with 2 Home Runs and 2 Doubles with 6 RBI, Kevin Meyer was 2-5 with 2 Home Runs and 4 RBI, Macy Holdsworth was 2-4 with a triple and 3 RBI, Collin Rigney was 2-5 with a double and 2 RBI, Ethan Bailey was 2-5 with 2 runs scored and Tyler Burcham was 2-4 with 2 runs scored.

#21 Greensburg 5 Roncalli 4 - Tyler Burcham threw the first three innings striking out 4. Collin Rigney threw the final 4 innings in relief and earned the win by only allowing 2 hits and holding the opposing offense scoreless. Rigney had 5 strike outs in his 4 innings. Offensively; Austin Schultz was 2-3 with a double and 2 RBI, Collin Rigney was 2-3 with a triple, Ethan Bailey was 2-4 with 1 RBI, Macy Holdsworth was 1-4 with a double and 1 RBI, Clayton Tressler was 1-4 with a double and 1 RBI, and Tyler Burcham reached base 3 times and scored twice.

#22 New Palestine 17 Rushville 5 – Reid Clark was 3-4 with three RBI and two runs, Alex Rejer was 3-3 with a double, three RBI, and three runs, and Jacob Barnes was 3-4 with a RBI and two runs to led the offense. Brian Page was 2-4 with three RBI and two run, Connor Swain doubled and drove in two runs, and Nick Ulrey drove in two runs.

#22 New Palestine 8 Rushville 1 – Reid Clark picked up the complete game win allowing just three hits, no earned runs, and striking out eight. At the plate he was 2-3 with a double, triple, three RBI, and three runs. Connor Swain was 2-2 with four RBI and Cameron Clark added a RBI.

#23 FW Carroll 14 FW Concordia 4 – Drue Tranquill led the offense going 3-4 with a double and two runs scored. Grant Wilson and Ross Koble both went 1-1 with three runs. Wilson also homered and drove in two and Koble doubled and drove in one. Tanner Ginder tripled and drove in three runs and Matt Kowalsky was 2-3 with a RBI and a run.

#23 FW Carroll 7 Yorktown 3 – Blake Converset picked up the win throwing all seven innings, allowing seven hits, no earned runs, and striking out eight. Drue Tranquill and Ross Koble was both 2-4 with a RBI and Grant Wilson homered and drove in three.

#23 FW Carroll 11 Yorktown 1 – Taylor Goshen got the win throwing all five innings allowing three hits and no earned runs. Grant Wilson was 3-3 with a triple, homerun, four RBI, and three runs. Drue Tranquill was 3-4 with a homerun, two RBI, and three runs. Ross Koble was 3-4 with a double, RBI, and three runs and Peyton Lengacher was 2-3 with two RBI.

Brownsburg 4 #24 Fishers 1 – Jordan Deal threw a complete game allowing three hits, one run, and striking out eight to get the win. Tyler Whetstone homered and drove in two runs, Garrett Isch was 2-2 with a double and a run, and Isaac Sampen drove in a run. Clay Small hit a solo homerun for Fishers.

Hamilton Heights 12 Sheridan 2 – Evan Jacobs picked up the win going 4.2 innings allowing three hits, no earned runs, and striking out three. Tyler Anderson was 2-3 with a homerun, three RBI, and two runs. Aaron Knott was 3-4 with a double, two RBI, and a run. Landon Cunningham was 2-4 with a RBI and Spencer Dull was 2-5 with a RBI.

Lafayette Jefferson 7 Westfield 6 F/10 – Hamilton led the offense going 4-6 with a triple and four RBI. House drove in two runs and Nelson drove in a run. Jake Celleghin and Brandon Gray were both 3-5 with a RBI for Westfield.

Northfield 4 Wapahani 2 – Ryan Keaffaber picked up the win throwing seven innings, allowing five hits, two run, and striking out nine. He also was 2-3 at the plate with two doubles and two RBI. Andy Roser was 2-4 with a RBI, Tanner Wilcox was 1-2 with a RBI, and Collin Dawes was 2-3.

Northfield 11 Blackford 5 – Andy Roser picked up the win going 4.2 innings allowing four hits, no earned runs, and striking out six. He was 2-4 at the plate with a two RBI. Joseph Ross had a big day at the plate going 2-4 with a grand slam and six RBI. Adam Roser was 2-3 with a RBI, Austin Keen was 2-3 with two RBI, and Collin Dawes was 3-3.

Hobart 11 Hammond Morton 2 - Sophomore Brandon Murray (2014) picked up his sixth win of the season, allowing one hit and striking out nine in five innings of work.  Murray got some support from his batterymate as Nick Bokun (2014) hit a two-run homer in the top of the first to get the ball rolling on his perfect day at the plate.  Bokun reached base in all five trips to the plate going 2-2 with a double, three walks, and three runs in addition to the homer.  Senior Jake Ehrlich (Prairie State) was also 3-5 with an RBI double, and 2 runs.
