West Virginia Players Selected in 2013 MLB Amateur Draft

Aaron BlairWhile no high school players from West Virginia were selected in this year's MLB First-Year Player Draft, a total of eight college players who have ties to West Virginia had their names called. The list was headed by Marshall RHP Aaron Blair, taken by the Arizona Diamondbacks with the 36th overall pick.

Of the eight players taken, two were from Marshall, four were from WVU and one was from Shepherd. The final prospect selected from West Virginia was Ohio University RHP Brett Barber, a product of Hurricane HS.
