Zach Guth named Assistant Scouting Director for NY/PA Territories

The Prep Baseball Report (NY/PA) is excited to announce Zach Guth as the Assistant Scouting Director for the New York and Pennsylvania territories effective January 1, 2022. Zach previously served as an Advanced Scout for both states. In his new role, Zach will work closely with both NY and PA Scouting Directors on Rankings, Scouting Reports, Player Content, Invite lists, a concentration on the baseball Technology side and more.

Zach's BIO:

Guth frequented PBR events while in high school and was ultimately recruited due to his exposure through Prep Baseball Report. After graduating high school in 2015, Guth attended the University of Maryland for 2 years before transferring to Harford Community College. Guth went 11-0 as a starting pitcher for the Fighting Owls and committed to play at the University of Houston. After being selected in the 26th round of the 2018 MLB Draft by the Atlanta Braves, Guth chose to forgo his college commitment and decided to sign a professional contract. Guth spent 1 year in the minor league system with the Braves before he signed a free agent contract with the Colorado Rockies where he spent his second year in professional baseball. After retiring from professional baseball, Guth was then hired as an Advanced Scout for PBR Pennsylvania and New York in 2020.
