Jordan Zawada's Big Saturday

Any day that you pick up five hits would be considered a strong performance at the plate. When four of those five hits are homeruns then makes it a remarkable day. That is what sophomore Jordan Zawada did on Saturday in a double header. Zawada, of Marquette Catholic High School, went 5-8 in two games against North Newton High School with the four homeruns and seven RBIs. The chance for homerun number five was stopped by an intentionally walk in his last plate appearance of the day.

Zawada knows that the homeruns are nice, but realizes that he is just part of the team, "I just did my job ?I don't look for the fences I just want to make solid contact and get base runners for my team."
