The 2023 Future Games alumni continues to impress on the mound everytime we see him. What stands out for the Arizona State commit is his ability to locate all 4 of his pitches for strikes. With an athletic look and a quick arm, the fastball sits 89-91 mph, tunneling a changeup off of it, while adding arm side run and depth to it. Labonte has also shown the ability to create in-zone swing & miss off of his cutter and slider. The cutter sits 83-84 mph while the slider has over 2500 rpm and has tight, late break. Labonte is one of the top 2025 arms in the country and a member of the Junior National Team.

The 2025 RHP is one of the more talented arms on a loaded Okotoks Dawgs roster. The 2023 Future Gamer impresses with his repertoire and his ability to find the zone with each offering. He brings athleticism to the mound with fluid actions and a long arm. The fastball sits in the upper-80s and can touch 90 mph at times with plenty of arm side run (20.8 inches of HM). He utilizes a high spin slider (2650+ rpm) that generates lots of swing & miss with its sweeper profile, and a cutter that he uses well with his fastball, inducing weak contact. A curveball and changeup are also in his repertoire which he continues to refine. The Arizona State commit is one to follow as he looks to dominate on the mound in 2024.

Despite being one of the younger arms on the roster, Labonte impressed with his ability to find the zone with his 3 pitch mix and create in-zone swing & miss while doing so. The athletic, fluid mover with long arm action got up to 89.8 mph and sat 87-88 mph throughout his outing. Flashed a cutter at 85-86 mph which did an efficient job of inducing weak contact. Labonte also showed off a high spin curveball, 2650+ rpms, which out of a low ¾ slot had lots of horizontal break with some depth to it as well. It has the makings to become a very effective pitch as he continues to refine it. Will be an important and talented arm to follow going forward.
