Bay Area World Series 2022  - Uncommitted; Compact athletic body type, proportioned, good baseball player in all regards, fringe tools but high level of usability of the tools, 7.09 60-yd with 80 mph OF arm, outstanding outfielder with highly skilled mechanics, accurate thrower, understands his talents and abilities and how to get to them, have seen his strength gains over the years as an indication of how hard he works, skill has always been present, best description was in the beginning of the report... GOOD baseball player.

Positional Profile: OF/2B
Physical: 5-8, 150-pounds; Athletic, proportional build. 7.29 runner in the 60.
Offensively: RHH. Open setup, with feet just outside his shoulders; bat positioned at a 45 degree angle. Loads straight back with a moderate leg kick for timing. Stays behind the ball while showing an aggressive lower half. Showed a flat swing path with two handed finish with occasional top hand release. More ground balls than line drives and fly balls with a peak exit velocity of 91 MPH via Trackman. Full finish, aggressive stroke with willingness to let it fly, has hand eye coordination and ability to stay gap to gap with line drives which should serve as his strength.
Defensively: Starts with a balanced setup; uses prep step while showing active feet. Hands are off to the side with a clean transfer. Moderate arm circle from a high-3/4 arm slot.  OF - 79 MPH. Outstanding defensive mechanics, clean footwork/glovework in tandem, gets ball out quickly with accuracy.

Positional Profile: OF/2B
Body: 5-7, 140-pounds. Compact body type with noticeable size and strength gains over the last year.
Hit: RHH. RHH - wider feet, hands comfortable off body, starts in crouch in balanced set-up, small lift out to medium stride, aggressive hips, easy load, has rhythm and timing. LHH - similar set-up as RH side though a bit more open, quiet smooth load, maintains balance.   RHH - Works inside, able to adjust to different locations, flashed gap pop potential, game ABs showed ability to drive ball on outer half. LHH - has good timing with ability to spray ball to all fields, consistent barrel contact, has high level contact ability with improving strength.
Power: 87 max exit velocity, 63.7 max bat speed, 21.4 max hand speed.
Arm: RH. OF - 77 mph. Slight quiet stab on backside, quick release, full aggressive release, maximizes what he has, gets rid of it quickly.
Defense: Outstanding set-up and mechanics to ball, closes well, game plays showed high level reading of ball and set-up behind the ball while catching in perfect shape to get into throws. Range fits in LF.
Run: 7.39 runner in the 60.

Body: Small frame with good proportions.  Room to grow as he gets older.

Hit:  Switch, LHH: wide stance with a slight bat waggle.  Barrel tilted early to get in position.  Works inside baseball, with barrel out in front.  RHH: Wide stance, with just a bit more bend in his knees, quick toe tap and bat is on plane, trusts his hands on both sides of the plate

Power:  Max velo of 82.90

Arm: Real aggressive approach, get sarm quick with good action, max velo 76 mph

Defense:  Stays low to the ground, attacks and fields ball off glove side, quick transition to his hand for quick release.  Good balanced foot work

Run: Ran a 7.4 (60 yard dash)

Hit: RHH. Slightly closed to start, quick leg lift to initiate the swing, level barrel path.
Power: Topped 82 MPH Exit Velo via Trackman in BP. Power will come with size + added mass.
Arm: RH. INF - 65 mph. OF - 71 mph. Semi short arm action that produced 71 MPH from the OF and 65 MPH from the IF during the defensive workout.
Defense: Moved with a sense of urgency around the diamond with quality footwork and actions.
Run: 7.72 runner in the 60.

Defense: Bouncy feet in INF, plays low to and through, concentrates through the finish of play, energetic defender. OF - aggressively closes on ball, creates momentum to throw, soft glove hand.
Arm: RH. INF - 64 mph. OF - 70 mph. Some long extension on backside, fairly quick arm, aggressive thrower across diamond. - OF - gets rid of it in rhythm, some lack of carry, it is more of an OF arm action.
Hit: RHH. Wide feet, balanced, hitter-ish look, relaxed in his hand slot, creates some coil in load, good separation of knob vs stride. Small foot life to minimal stride, maintains balance, swing plane is clean, hands work, this swing will play with strength gains.
Power: 79 mph exit velocity.
Run: 7.89 runner in the 60.

Monterey Bay Winter Hitting Update:

Even hands stay tight to the body with ability to get lower half firing early in swing. Full swing shows ability to keep barrel compact and tight to frame with future gap-to-gap type of strength. Balanced and when he keeps head behind baseball theres lots of strength from smaller frame.
