At the mound Higgins shows command of three pitches. Fastball flashes arm side run while topping at 90 mph and living 86-88 mph. Moves it around all areas of the quadrant. Likes to run it in on right-handed hitters. Changeup is best present pitch and one he used as an out pitch this outing. Pitch lived 78-79 mph touching 81 mph. Curveball shows potential to be a go-to pitch. Starts at hitters waist before falling off the table. Has two varieties of it. One with an 11-4 shape and another that is more slider-like in shape. Pitch lived 73-75 mph Uses lower half to generate power through his high ¾ delivery. Maintains same arm slot on all pitches. Uses a pronounced shoulder/back turn to hide ball from hitters.
