6-foot, 180-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. #19 ranked player in IA 2020 class. On mound; simple athletic delivery, higher balance point, longer arm action with wrap on back side. Fastball was 82-84 mph with flashes of late cutting action. 12/6 shape with early break on curveball. Developing feel for changeup with avg. action. 7.27 runner. Square stance, shoulder load, line drive swing, avg. rhythm in swing, consistent solid contact, mid/pull approach, 80 mph exit velocity. Athletic in field, avg. footwork and angles, hands work to field, shows carry and accuracy to bag, 85 mph arm strength across infield.
6-foot, 180-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. #10 ranked player in Iowa 2020 class. Currently working back from off-season arm surgery; nearing 100%. Threw fastball and changeup only at event. Lean build with stronger lower half, athletic medium balance point, longer clean arm path with slight wrap on back side, ball comes out clean in front with easier effort. Fastball was 84-85 mph , good command of zone, with varying action to both sides of plate. Solid arm speed on changeup; shows flashes of late run and sink to arm-side of plate. 7.47 runner. Slight open stance, line drive swing, avg. timing to swing, some stiffness in swing plane, 85 mph exit velocity.
3/11/18- 6-foot, 170-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. On mound; athletic frame with strength in lower half, controlled rocker step into balance point, begins to build momentum throughout delivery, athletic compact arm action, explosive down mound, solid extension and finish to plate, arm is extremely quick out front. Fastball was 83-84 mph with life; showing varying action to both sides of the plate. Slider is thrown with above avg. arm speed; creating tight spin and solid 11/5 shape. Flashes above avg. changeup, has arm speed, lands in bottom of zone with solid fade. 7.4 runner. Open stance, easy load and stride, minimal effort in swing, some scoop in swing plane, ball jumps occasionally off bat, works middle of field, 82 mph exit velocity. Above avg. arm, carry and accuracy, solid/avg. actions, sure hands, 91 mph arm strength across the infield. Strong follow in 2020 class.
