Flashed easy bat speed, found the barrel with regularity, line-drive approach and fluid rhythm. Balanced, upright setup, smooth pre-pitch load, short leg-lift timing trigger and good balance. Registered an exit velocity of 86 mph. Also, ran a 7.17 laser-timed 60. Defensively, reliable hands and a clean exchange in the outfield and infield. Long arm action, over-the-top slot, clocked at 77 mph from the outfield and 72 mph across the infield.

2.16.15 - 6-foot, 170-pound, right-handed hitting, middle-infielder. In the field has a short arm action from a high ¾ arm slot with fluid footwork. Threw 75 mph across the infield. At the plate hits from a balanced, open stance, with a smooth load and short stride. Line drive hitter with a short, level swing path and a fast bat. 77 mph exit velocity from a tee. Ran the 60 at 7.28.

1.19.14 - 5-foot-11, 160-pound infielder. At the plate he hits from a tall, balanced stance, smooth load, short stride, and maintains balance through contact. Has a simple, line drive swing. Hands work well in the swing. Exit velocity was 73 mph off the tee. Defensively, showed soft hands and quick feet. Arm works long and stiff from a high ¾ slot at 72 mph with solid carry. Ran a 7.62 60.

7/23/13 - 5-foot-10, 145-pound lanky middle-infielder. Offensively hits from a balanced setup using a toe-tap trigger. Has athletic pre-pitch rhythm and registered a 72 mph exit velocity off the tee maintaining some balance throughout. Displayed soft hands defensively with a clean exchange, throwing 68 mph across the infield with short arm action.

1/20/13 - Slender frame, 5-foot-10, 135-pound middle infielder. Above average infield actions, quick glove to hand transfer, soft hands, fluid footwork, lacks arm strength (67 mph), long over the top release. Offensively, pull tendencies, out and around bat path, hits off back side, lacks separation. On the mound, over the top arm slot. Fastball sits 64-68 mph. Curveball shows minimal action at 55-56 mph. Changeup thrown at 56-57 mph.

10/28/12 - Lane is an athletic 5-foot-8, 125-pound middle infielder. Offensively, Lane hits from an open stance using a smooth load and short stride. Lane showcased himself as a contact hitter using a short, level swing while showing the ability to spray the ball to both gaps.
