10/9/16:  The 5-foot-9, 160 pound catcher displayed a short, level swing while spraying line drives.  He hits from a balanced setup with a smooth, back load.  Bat speed is above average.  Exit velocity topped at 87mph.  Behind the plate, actions are clean but long.  Arm action works behind the dish while producing pop times that range between 2.19-2.26.  Throws topped at 71mph.  Howell ran a 7.38 60yd dash.

7/8/15:5-foot-9, 160-pound athletic body frame. From the crouch he uses pretty good footwork, but could improve by getting himself just a little more turned before he throws down to second base. He throws using a clean, short arm action coming from an upper ¾ slot and reached a top velocity of 68 mph to produce pop times between 2.25-2.33. In the outfield he uses good footwork to approach the baseball. He fields ground balls with his hand out in front of his body, on his glove side. He throws from an upper ¾ slot and reached a top velocity of 79 mph from the outfield.

5-foot-8, 155 pound catcher possesses an athletic frame.  Behind the plate has the ability to catch and to get in good position, just needs to continue to gain experience and cut down unnecessary movements when receiving the ball.  On throws down to 2B will need to work on getting in better position and shortening/quickening things up.  Pop times ranged from 2.29-2.43.  Offensively, starts a little closed and loads back.  Very little stride with average use of the lower half.  Bat speed is average.  Uses a long path to the baseball.  Registered an exit velo of 80 mph.
