At the plate, thin set up, smooth acceleration with loose hands, high finish, in line stride, hands work inside the ball, mostly middle to opposite field contact during hitting evals.  In the outfield, works behind the ball with efficient route, high three quarters arm slot, mostly accurate throws.

2/16/18 - Bainter is an athletically built 5-foot-9 150-pound left-handed hitting outfielder in Kansas’ 2021 class. He ran a 4.27 home to first and has an 87 mph exit velocity. At the plate, starts lightly open, smooth load, hands load with stride, controlled body, hands creates loose bat whip with quick hands, swing produced consistent middle of the field line drives during hitting evals. In the outfield, high three quarters arm slot, quick to the ball with fluid footwork and clean exchange, works behind the ball, 73 mph positional velocity.

10/22/17 - Bainter is an athletically built 5-foot-9 150-pound left-handed hitting first baseman in Kansas’ 2021 class.  He ran a 7.44 60 and a 4.53 home to first.  He has an 80 mph exit velocity. At the plate, starts with an open stance, short and controlled stride, minimal hand load, short to the ball, hands control the barrell, aggressive hitter, gap to gap approach, hard single up the middle in game action.  On the infield, 65 mph positional velocity, smooth actions, fluid footwork to the ball, clean exchange, short high three quarters release, quick catch and throw, accurate throws.
