7/21/20

Neidel is a 5-foot-11, 165 pound left-handed hitting infield prospect. He hits out of a narrow stance, with the hands set just off the back shoulder. The load is short and triggered by a leg kick. The weight gets stacked over the back leg and the hands push back nicely. The swing is direct and flat through the hitting zone and produced a top exit velocity of 88 MPH. He also showed some foot-speed with a 6.97 second sixty.

Defensively, the rising senior showed good fundamentals as he fielded ground balls. The feet get him into a good fielding position, with the glove out in front. As he transitions through the ground ball, the hips get in line with the target and the arm swing is short and quick. He finishes well through the play, continuing in line with the target and showed a velocity of 73 MPH across the diamond.

5-foot-11, 165-pound left-handed hitting infielder. He ran a 6.76 sixty at the event. The approach in the infield solid as the glove plays softly. The feet need to remain active as he fields the baseball, He threw 79 mph across the diamond during the infield portion of the workout. He is a good athlete and moves well. The bat has an exit velocity of 89 mph. The setup is even in base and the front foot dives into the plate as the ball approaches the hitting zone. The path needs better direction at the start as he gets out and around to contact. The addition of physical strength would allow that to happen easier.  Solid player.

Exit Velocity- 89 mph
