Hits from the right side with an athletic open stance, hands set high, and a glide to stride landing on line. Minimal hand load, steep into the hitting zone, and swing path is flat. Attacks the ball out front, bat is quick out of the zone, and had an exit velocity of 88 mph. Behind the plate the feet worked through the throw, hands break high, and quick glove to hand exchange. Short arm action and throws from a three-quarter arm slot. Throws had carry and were consistently in line. Catchers velocity was 77 mph and pop times ranged from 1.98-2.12. Ran a 7.37 60.
MD Top Prospect Games East
Big, strong body type and 5’10, 210 pound frame. Hits from a balanced, open stance at the plate. Medium sized leg kick load with good hand separation. Strong lower half involvement, quick hands and fast bat speed. Level swing path with good extension and a strong finish. Showed nice balance throughout the swing and pop to the gaps. Strong swing. Recorded a 92 mph exit velocity. Quiet body receiving behind the plate. Steps around plate on throws to second base but gains ground and showed quick footwork and fast exchanges. Throws with short arm action from a mid three-quarters slot at 73 mph. Ball showed some carry on it to second and pop times ranged 1.96 - 2.02. Ran a 7.90 60-yard time.
MD Preseason All State
Solid frame with strength at 5-foot-10, 210-pounds. Starts open and upright from the right side, moving into slight crouch at load. Small leg lift with hands back at an arm bar and lands square at stride. Showed quickness and strength getting through the zone with a flat path. Strong lower half involvement. Shows raw power with a 91 mph exit velocity. Active feet gaining ground on the throw, average exchange, and a short arm action. Throws from a three-quarter arm slot at 73 mph with pop times ranging 2.22 - 2.34. Home-to-first time was 4.64.
MD Fall Invitational
Solid body type and 5-foot-10, 210 pound frame. Hits from a balanced, athletic, open stance. Quick back load into a slightly crouched compact hitting position. Creates nice separation and showed fast bat speed. Short, level swing path with only lower half involvement. Hits against a stiff front side and does not fully rotate hips and lower half. Still a gap-to-gap type hitter right now with power but freeing up the lower half will lead to much more. Ball jumps off the bat with a 86 mph exit velo. Big target behind the plate and receives well with a quiet body. Showed quick footwork and gained ground on throws to second base. Clean exchanges and very accurate throws. Throws with short arm action from a high three-quarter slot at 72 mph. Pop times ranged 2.06-2.09.
