Strong, compact body type. Struggled a bit at the plate going 1-for-3 with two strikeouts but did drive one out for a double. Hits from a slightly crouched and slightly open stance with a wider base. Barrel got flat early and swing path was slightly uphill. Stays behind the ball well and gets good extension through contact. Power present. 

Ryan is a right handed hitting catcher at Whitman high school. Hits from an athletic set up with average bat speed and uphill path. Gap to gap type hitter. Clean exchange and release from behind the backstop.
