6/17/19

Athletic 6-foot-2, 170 pound frame.  Frame can continue to add strength.  Some quickness with a 7.26 sixty.   Fluid and athletic defensively.  Good angles.  Works to catch the ball off the inside left hip.  Easy transitions and transfers to a clean arm action.  Multiple angles from the arm to match footwork with accuracy and carry present.  83 mph across the diamond.  Right handed hitter.  Tall with an open base.  Quiet and simple approach.  Small stride.  Direct and flat through the zone.  Average bat speed, working controlled with excellent barrel awareness.  Worked the middle of the field with a lot of line drives.  Exit velocity peaked at 80 mph.

10.27.18

Lanky athletic frame at 6-foot-2, 170 pounds.  Open and tall in his setup from the right side.  Smooth, simple load and short stride.  Average bat speed, occasionally feeling his way through the zone.  Wants extension, remaining level and staying gap-to-gap.  Exit velocity peaked at 79 mph.   Sound mechanically with feel for the barrel, and should see an quick increase in power as he adds strength to the frame.  Fluid defensively, playing through the ball with athleticism and rhythm.  Clean, easy exchanges to a long arm swing and high-3/4 slot.  Accurate with carry at 85 mph across the diamond.  Quickness exists in the body, running a 7.18 sixty.
On the mound the fastball is in the zone, playing straight at 78-82, touching 84.  Some feel for the breaking ball and change-up.  Breaking ball ranged 65-66 with gradual tilt.  Inconsistent break as the hand casts the pitch early at times.  The change-up mimics the fastball at 70 with occasional sink.  Smooth over the rubber, works level and on-line.  Long, loose arm swing, occasionally reaching and leaving the arm arc.  Above average hand speed and a high-3/4 slot.

06.11.18
Length is present in a 6-foot-1, 165 pound frame.  Will add strength as he matures. Ran a 7.14 sixty and should see that number improve with strength.  Clean actions at shortstop. Soft hands and good rhythm with his feet. Hips tend to stay high through the catch.  Clean exchanges, with some quickness, transition to a short, ¾ slot. Cuts the extension off at times on the throw but is accurate with throws peaking at 81 across the diamond.  Right handed hitter works tall, loading back, using a short stride. Loose, stays in the middle of the field. Level, wants extension. Exit velocity of 71 mph off the barrel.
On the bump the fastball worked 76-78 with a feel for location to his arm side.  Occasionally cut the fastball to his glove side. Change-up has slight arm side run at 72.  Some deception in the change as the hand speed mimics that of fastball. Breaking ball has gradual 12/6 tilt at 68-69, missing down on his line throughout the pen.  Works with some ease. Level and on-line, the front side can get high, creating possible deception. Long arm swing, reaching away from the body, getting to a high-¾ slot.  Tall through balance, seems to repeat the delivery.
