No unnecessary movements, minimal load and is always on time. Line-drive stroke with consistently hard contact to all fields. Athletic and aggressive actions in the outfield, with a top velo of 83 MPH on throws. On the mound, Nugent is left-hander who pitched only from the stretch. Sets up tall, right in the middle of the rubber with his feet closed off. Easy delivery with a smooth arm action. Keeps the shoulders in line as well as his stride direction. Threw multiple pitches for strikes. FB was 78-81 MPH. SL with lateral tilt at 65-67 MPH. CH imitated FB intent and was 70-71 MPH.
Nugent possesses a strong and compact build at 5-foot-9, 168-pounds. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.43 seconds, top exit velocity recorded at 85 MPH from the right side and 87 from the left.
