St. John’s recruit. Sanzio has a strong and physical build at 5-foot-11, 175-pounds. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.64 seconds and recorded an exit velo of 92 MPH. At the plate, starts in an athletic state with his feet open and knees bent. Low, hanging leg kick. Back elbow stays parallel to the ground. Hands move directly back with a slight bat wrap during his load. Swings with controlled aggression and clear barrel awareness. Explosive lower half. Impressive BP round, balls flying to all gaps. Defensively, took reps in the infield and recorded a velo of 89 MPH. Smooth actions, plays through the ball. Gathers himself with a shuffle before making throws. On the mound, starts with his feet offset facing the third base line. Slows his delivery down with a late hand break. Engages his backside on time, is able to ride it down the slope. Even shoulder tilt. Long, loose, clean arm action. High 3/4 arm slot. FB explodes out of his hand, located to both sides of the plate. FB was 85-87 MPH. Slider had sharp lateral action across the zone at 71-72 MPH. Changeup displayed run and fade at 79-80 MPH.

St. John’s recruit. Sanzio possesses a strong and athletic build at 5-foot-11, 175-pounds. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.79 seconds. Recorded an exit velo of 90 MPH, one of the tops at the event. At the plate, he starts in a wide and open stance. Knees are bent. Hands begin in line with his back shoulder. Elbow always remains parallel to the ground. Hands locked in position during his load, with a slight bat wrap. Swings with controlled aggression. Gets off his backside well, clears his hips. Showed feel for the barrel, consistently drove the ball during his round of BP. Defensively, Sanzio took reps in the infield, and recorded a top velo of 81 MPH. Gets around the baseball and approaches it under control. Brought the baseball to his midsection and transferred it close to his body. On the mound, he starts tall with his feet together and staggered. Long, loose, clean arm action. 3/4 arm slot. Slight pause and glove tap at the top of his delivery. Strong brace leg. Throws with rhythm and tempo. Even shoulder tilt. Is able to keep his backside over the rubber. From the stretch, is slightly closed with back leg preset. Fastball touched 86 MPH and sat 84-85 MPH. FB was down in the zone and showed late life. Sanzio’s breaking ball had 11/5 shape with occasional sharp vertical bite at 68-71 MPH. Changeup displayed significant run at 75-76 MPH.
