Fendrich has an athletic build at 5-foot-9 160-pounds. On the mound, fastball topped at 76 MPH and sat mostly 72-74 MPH. Mixed in a curveball with some 12/6 action at 60-63 and a changeup with arm side fade at 63-64. Tall balance point, drops back side and drives off of back leg down the mound. High 3/4 slot with long arm action with a stab in the backside. Heavy front foot landing, extends over lead side. At the plate, Fendrich starts in a balanced stance and in a crouch with hands in line with back shoulder. Exit velocity topped at 81 MPH. Uses a small foot lift and stride to start swing. Hands load straight back. Creates some extension with arms and hands to the ball – line drive hitter. In the outfield, throws topped at 70 MPH with backspin and carry. Charges ball with confidence and plays through throws that were on target.
