7/16/15 – Massa has a loose and athletic 6-foot, 180 pound frame. He has a loose, long arm action with plus arm speed. He pitches with slightly tilted shoulders and a ¾ arm slot. His fastball has late life and is heavy at times. The velocity was 84-88 miles-per-hour. He has a plus curveball at 71-74 with 11-to-5 shape and tight, late action. He also showed a changeup with late sink and fastball hand speed at 77-78 MPH. He has a solid three-pitch mix that becomes four pitches when he effectively elevated his fastball slightly above the hands of hitters. More velocity is on the way as the right-hander gains lower half strength.
