10/3/15 -- Dorneo had an excellent day at the plate at day one of Selectfest Underclass. He showed off his raw power on a triple off the wall to dead center field. He then hit a hard single right back up the middle (4.85 on the round to first). He continues to show impressive barrel control. It should also be mentioned that he ran an improved 7.58 in the 60-yard dash.
9/20/15 -- Dorneo is an intriguing 2018 prospect. He hits from the left side, is knee to knee in his load. He has a long stride, quick hands with good leverage in his swing. Has some length in his swing but has raw power potential. He moves well to ground balls and utilizes is lower half to deliver strikes to the bases. He showed a feel for reading and picking bad throws. He's not afraid to come off the bag and make a tag; something young players struggle to do.
6/17/15 (PA) -- 5-foot-9, 180-pound left-handed hitter. Hit from square stance, incorporating a long knee-to-knee stride. Exhibited some bat speed with some length in his swing, while staying inside the ball well. Advanced physicality for his age. Posted an in-game 4.88 home-to-1B time. Showcased 84-mph exit velocity during workout. Did not participate in defensive workout, but played well with the leather during game action.
2/16/15 (MA) -- A good looking left-handed hitting 2018 prospect for me. The glove was good and the arm is clean and accurate, he threw the ball around the infield at 68. He ran a 8.06 but will improve that as he gets stronger. The bat is a good one, 87 tee exit velocity for a 2018 is legit and he shows some power potential from the left side. Keep an eye on this clean and loose swing, with strength could become formidable.
