Physical: Athletic 5-foot-10, 160lb frame with even proportions and strength found. 7.77 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH - Balanced, slightly open stance as the hands worked with quiet rhythm by the ear. Utilized a stretched load on-time with a calm leg-lift, initiating the bat head through a flat path into the hitting zone. Was able to lift on pitches above the belt, tilting slightly and matching plane to produce loud pull-side contact with backspin for extra-bases (323 foot batted ball distance via Trackman). Showed off a quick trigger and consistent barrel accuracy, posting a 42% line drive rate during his batting practice round (ability to hit for average). Notched a T92 mph bat-exit velocity with more coming as he continues refining already connected, smooth actions offensively.
Defensively: The primary shortstop demonstrated fluidity in the feet, always moving and working hard to create good hops on routes. Let the glove hand operate out in front, up/down with good technique, keeping the chest down and releasing with rhythm from a H ¾ slot (79 mph, accurate, pace). Then showed good body control when throwing across the chest on the run with a clean exchange.
