May 2018
Started on the mound, plus 3/4 slot and direction is not aligned. The fastball touched 79 MPH, and the slider was 68-70. Showed a good knuckleball, the pitch has plus rotation and depth. The command of the fastball is in question.

NY Games (June 25-27, 2017)
Athletic, 6-foot, 185-pound outfielder, ran a 7.66/ 60. Offensively - uses inner knee rotation with full extension after contact for an exit velocity of 81 MPH, strong to the pull side, heavy load, lower body engagement will produce more power. Defensively - smooth and agile footwork, sure glove, quick transfer with an outfield velocity of 79 MPH.
Preseason All-State (February 20, 2017)
Listing stands in at 6-foot-0, 185-pounds with a power frame. Ran a 7.53 – 60, slightly improved from his previous best recorded time of 7.60 in June 2016. Offensively- Righty sets up in an open stance with his feet just inside shoulder width. Back knee is bent while the front foot is behind the body up on his toe. Shows an upright torso with his hands held above the back shoulder using pre-pitch bat movement prior to delivery. On pitch his trigger is a knee raise in towards his body to stride out forward squaring up to the pitcher while his hands move back slightly into a good hitting position. His hands are very quick to the hitting zone with a good upward barrel angle throughout into a high one handed finish. Creates good torque in the swing with an aggressive lower half getting the hips through and locking his weight on the front side. Consistent hitting up the middle and on the pull side gap during his round. Recorded an exit velocity of 88 MPH, just shy of his previous best of 92 MPH registered in June of 2016. Defensively- Moves well to the ball with smooth crow hop mechanics. He gains ground throughout his crow hop allowing him to generate good momentum towards his target. Shows a proper outfielder arm swing and release point demonstrated by his accuracy and velocity on throws; fundamentally sound. Recorded a positional arm velocity of 78 MPH, just shy of his previous best of 80 MPH registered in June 2016.
New York Games (June 27-29, 2016)
Listing sits in at 5-foot-11; 185 pounds with a strong athletic frame. Has a next level body with ability to get better. Ran an improved 7.60 – 60 at NYS Games Showcase. Offensively-Sets up square to the plate with a wide base and weight shifted back. His hands are high above the back shoulder with little pre swing movement. On pitch his trigger is a leg kick forward with his hands moving down slightly into his hitting position. Quick hands to the hitting zone with good barrel action acceleration though the zone to a high one handed finish. Good lower body rotation. Fluid swing with everything moving under a quiet head. Recorded a 92 mph exit velocity, a 9 mph improvement from January 2016. Drove the ball repeatedly in game action. Defensively- Good approach and footwork to the baseball. Arm action and release are ideal with a position player velocity of 80 mph (+6 MPH from January). Improved speed and acceleration will help in OF at next level. Good first step and tracks the ball well; improved foot speed will only enhance his value. Has the body and make up of a college player.
NY State Open ID (January 31, 2016)
Cory is a well put together 5-foot-11 185 pound outfielder who ran a 7.82 60 and a 4.41  home-to-1B. Offensively- Cory sets up in a slightly spread stance with hands pre-loaded up and off his back shoulder. He uses a leg kick for timing, staying behind the ball into contact. Somewhat shoulder dominant with his swing, creating some length. Is able to pull hands through and muscle his contact. Moderate extension through the zone. Varied types of contact with some line drives with lift sprinkled in. Exit velocity was 83 MPH. Physically strong player that could tap into his lower half some more.  Defensively- Cory sets up fundamentally in the outfield, staying behind the ball with an aggressive approach. Efficient with his exchange and crowhop. Accurate throws with carry at 74 MPH. Will need to improve overall footspeed to help chances as next level outfielder.
