Lent, a 2021 left-handed hitting/throwing first baseman and outfielder,  stands at  5-foot-7 and weighs 125 pounds, ran a 5.01 from home to first.  Offensively- Starts from a lower half that is narrow, open and balanced while the hands are above the back shoulder with the barrel of the bat parallel to the ground. Initiates the swing with a lift of the front foot, string forward, yet not closing up completely, while the hands are loaded straight back getting well outside the back shoulder about ear height and barrel of the bat remaining nearly parallel. During batting practice showed the ability spray the ball from the opposite field gap to the pull side gap. The lead elbow elevates during approach to the ball which causes a drop of the barrel and prevents good extension thru the ball. Once the ability to make an adjustment to level the barrel thru the zone, the exit velocity of 63 MPH will improve. Defensively- Athletic footwork and fluid movements to the ball, on the ground or in the air. Transfers the ball from the center of the body slightly below the chest creating long and loose arm action. Throws were accurate and showed carry. Athletic outfielder with clean and smooth movements that recorded an arm velocity of 69 MPH.
