A lean 5-foot-10, 145 pounds. Ran a 7.76 60 yard dash. Offensively- the left handed hitter stands in the box in a tall narrow stance. Simple load and short stride towards the pitcher. Short compact swing with some juice. Balanced throughout the swing. Consistent hard contact during the hitting portion. Exit velocity was 84 MPH. Defensively- Active footwork, aggressive to the baseball. Smooth exchange to a quick release on throws from the OF. Projected as a corner OF at the next level. Pitching- Work mainly from the stretch and from the right side of the rubber. Quick loose arm action. FB gets on you quick. Showed command of the FB (71 MPH). CB (59-61 MPH) is sharp at times. Needs to be more consistent. Feel for a CH (62-63 MPH).
July 2018
Lefthanded batter kept hands back on full count curve to get hit up middle. Long strider, tall. Singled up the middle again later. Long strides, once moving, very fast and stole second easily. Bad mistake to be picked off third on a first-and-third play after the first hit. Second day update: Lefthanded batter crushed two balls Saturday. Drove in two runs with a double into the right center alley. Hit ball near fence in center for triple. On triple, long strides had him flying by time rounding second.
