Long Island Prospect Preview (August 8, 2016)
Falcone, a projectable 2018 outfielder, stands at a well built 5-foot-10 and 165-pounds. He ran a 6.92 60. Offensively- At the plate he starts slightly open, hands relaxed and set below the back shoulder.. On the pitch, uses a leg kick to initiate the swing while the hands get above the back shoulder. Well balanced throughout the swing. Had an impressive batting practice, driving the ball to all fields. Recorded an exit velocity of 78 MPH, an increase of 6 MPH over the past year. Defensively- Gets behind the ball well showing good agility and balance. Uses a quick transfer and short arm action to make strong accurate throws. Arm velocity of 80 MPH was recorded, also a 6MPH increase from previous events.
Long Island Preview (February 28, 2016)
Offensively- Hitting stance begins slightly open and with Exit Velocity of 79 MPH it shows how his overall strength and size has improved over the past year. Has plus hand-eye coordination at the plate and had little head movement throughout his swing. Would benefit tremendously with keeping his barrel through the hitting zone and increasing his extension through the baseball.
Greater NYC Preseason Open (February 19, 2015)
Falcone stands 5-foot-9, 150-pounds with an athletic build. Offensively- At the plate he starts slightly open, hands relaxed. On the pitch he strides to even, longer path, barrel drops some, inclined plane, some extension out in front, shoulder height finish. Exit velocity was 72 mph off a tee. Defensively- From the OF he fields the ball outside his glove leg, quick transfer, short arm action, throws from an over-the-top-slot, arm strength at 74 mph. He ran a 4.68 home-to-first-time.
