6-foot, 170-pound, average athletic frame, longer neck, sloped shoulders, room for added mass. A right-handed pitcher, with a quick, electric arm. Pounded the zone with a heavy two pitch mix of fastballs and sliders, along with a small changeup and breaker. The delivery is repeatable, builds momentum down the mound. Looks to stay tall and strong over the back side, lands inline, glove side has minimal pull, finish is out front, backside coming through quick, solid finish. The arm action is short and super clean on the backside, working out of a 3/4 to higher 3/4 slot. The fastball jumps out of his hand, reached 86 mph, pounded to both sides of the plate. The slider is a legit out pitch, clocked at 75-77 mph, its late breaking and thrown hard. Showed a get me over curve ball at 72 mph, along with some feel for a changeup at 75-77 mph. Big time, arm will be off the board quick.
Campus Series - St. Rose (July 10, 2018)
5-foot-10, 150-pounds with sloped shoulders and projectable frame. Pitching - Quiet, simple delivery with a short stride. Shows balance and body control from hand break thru finish. Loose, clean arm action from a ¾ slot. Maintains a strong glove side and consistently gets over his front leg for extension. FB sat 77-78 MPH and topped 79. Creates tough angle and drives ball down in the zone. Above average FB command. CB was 62-63 MPH with 11/5 shape. Projects for more velo and tighter spin in the future. CH came in at 68-69 MPH. Very intriguing young arm who looks like a polished strike thrower.
