Lean, wiry frame at 5-foot-11 140 pounds. Long limbs with easy actions. Pitching- Sets up arm side of the rubber; short side step with a mid chest leg drive with a slight coil at his balance point. Arm action is long with an extended take back; shows late whip into release with a low 3/4 arm slot. FB peaked at a personal best of 77 MPH while sitting 75-76 MPH; flashed a lateral action breaking ball at 62-63 MPH that had some inconsistencies; once on top with release the action will tighten. Change up showed some late fade at 64-65 MPH.
Best stands 5-foot-9, 125-pounds with a slight frame. Offensively- Even setup, table setter approach, uses all fields. Some uphill path to his barrel through the zone, slight extension. Exit Velocity of 67 MPH. Defensively- Active and aggressive with loose actions, clean arm action at 72 MPH; some carry, will benefit from more additional strength. Pitching- Smooth, clean delivery. Arm action is long and works well, fastball now comes out of a mid-3/4 slot, 68-69 with last fastball of outing at 71 MPH, curveball shows late 1/7 shape sitting 53-55 with a few swing and misses during action. Repeatable, easy going mechanics and efforts.
