At the plate the righty starts in a taller setup. Goes with a leg kick to get things started while keeping hands quiet through load and into barrel acceleration. Launches from a balanced position and takes an uphill path to the baseball. Swing shows more strength than speed at this stage. Swings with intent and has the ability to do damage when he squares the baseball up. Jantz has run producer tools and made some of the louder contact of the day. In the outfield he uses quick, fluid footwork in his approach. Maintains rhythm as he plays through the baseball, displaying above average ball skills. Very efficient movements prior to throwing. Arm strength will need to improve as he matures.

6-foot-1, 155-pound prospect. Right-handed hitter that starts in balanced, upright stance. Strides open, prematurely opening up his lower half. Upper half load is simple and without much movement. Starts with back elbow up. Hands go from shoulder height on level path through the zone. Two-handed finish to his swing. Top exit velocity of 80 mph off the tee. At first base he uses very quick footwork to get off the bag. Does a nice job of remaining low and fielding the ball out in front of his body. Would like to see him create throwing lanes in his pre fielding footwork on his double play balls.
