Ben Browning: SS/RHP, (2023) National Trail, OH. 5-foot-10, 155-pound. In the box, Browning's best exit velocity was 83 mph. (57.5 mph bat speed average). (16.6 mph hand speed average). Began in a wide open stance with a compact load, then used a toe tap quick stride. Bat speed was quick, had a simple upward swing plane and level finish. While in the infield, registered his best throw across the diamond at 75 mph; has smooth athletic feet, a clean fluid exchange, and consistent sure hands. Out front fielding mechanics. On the mound, used a compact arm action and a high ¾ arm angle while showing quick arm speed. Drop-and-drive feel type pitcher and shows easy effort. Slider (70-71 mph). Produced a fastball that came in at 74-80 mph. Shows running action. (Max spin 2221; Avg 2109). Throws a 11/5 tight curveball (67-68). (Max spin 2442; Avg 2423). His changeup (71-73) has fading action.
