Body Type: 6-foot-1 175-pounds right-handed pitching prospect with an average build.
Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Slow tempo delivery with a slight pause at top of his lift. Creates some deception and hides the ball well.
Fastball: 73-77 mph fastball works out of a ¾ slot with above average run and sink. Really worked the bottom half of the zone.
Curveball: 62-63 mph curveball has a short 11/5 break. Rotation on the pitch is fairly tight and the pitch has developing depth.
Changeup: 71-72 mph changeup is thrown with fastball like arm speed. The pitch shows similar run and sink as the fastball.
Pitchability: Showed ability to command the fastball. Breaking ball presently more of a get me over pitch but could develop into an out pitch. Changeup is still developing and needs to improve feel for the pitch.
Role: Likely a bullpen option at the high school level. TBD on college level.
2/17/19 Position
Body Type: 6-foot-1 175-pound prospect.
Swing Mechanics: Uses a mini leg kick to initiate his load. Remains balanced with a somewhat longer bat path but keeps his barrel through the zone. Hit: Strong hands and barrel control.
Power: 84 mph exit velocity.
Offensive Projection: Shows the ability to drive balls into the gap at the highschool level. Could project as a gap to gap threat at the next level with increased raw power.
Field: At 3B he showed below average footwork and angles through the ball. Decent hands but a slow release.
Throw: 73 mph across the diamond. Run: 4.91 home to first.
Defensive Projection: Arm strength would eliminate him from left side of the diamond. Might be a good fit at 1B if his bat can carry him there.
