Brandon Gross: 2B/RHP, (2023) Springboro, OH. 5-foot-9, 135-pound. In the box, the right-handed hitter had an exit velocity of 77 mph. (55.6 mph bat speed average). (19.1 mph hand speed average). Began in an athletic open stance with a smooth controlled load, then used a short quick stride. Bat speed is efficient, exhibits a short upward swing plane and high good extension on his finish. In the infield, his position velocity was registered at 73 mph; had in control developing footwork, a clean exchange, and soft sure hands. One hand out front fielding mechanics. On the mound, showed developing arm speed with a high ¾ arm angle and a long arm action. Feel up-tempo type pitcher who uses some effort. Had running action. (Max spin 1850; Avg 1764). He threw a 11/5 tight curveball (63-65). (Max spin 1652; Avg 1616). He had fading action on his changeup (72-73).

Hit: Balanced setup from the right side. Uses a simple, smooth load prior to taking a downhill path to contact. Showed present feelf or the barrel, and high on plane capabilities. Bat speed is developing. Power: Line drive pop. Offensive Projection: Table setter. Field: Rangy defender with smooth actions, above average ball skills, and no problem making plays on the move. Solid showing. Throw: Clean arm with more to come. Defensive Projection: INF.
Delivery/Scouting Notes: 2023 arm out of Springboro High School. Works with a controlled tempo to a delivery that doesn't require a ton of effort. ASrm is clean with developing arm speed through a high-3/4 slot. Creates solid direction with lower half. Fastball: Breaking Ball: 10/4 shape with gradual action to it. Heavier side to side movement than dip. Changeup: Does a nice job of maintaining arm speed on the offering that has similar sink to fastball with a bit more run. Pitchability: Strike thrower.
