Casey Barnes: 3B/C, (2023) Beavercreek, OH. 6-foot, 190-pound athletic build. During batting practice, the right-handed hitter had a max exit velocity of 95 mph. (72.10 mph bat speed average). (22.09 mph hand speed average). Starts in an open crouched stance with a quick controlled load, then uses a controlled leg kick stride. Had quick efficient bat speed, an inside-out upward swing plane and high finish. Athletic while in the infield, made throws at velocities up to 78 mph; has athletic developing feet, soft hands, and a clean exchange. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were athletic. During the event, recorded a 60 time of 7.09. On the mound, showing good arm speed he had a long arm action and a ¾ arm angle. Drop-and-drive type pitcher and shows decent effort. Strong athletic balance point. Produced a fastball that came in at 78-80 mph; had arm side control and running action. (Max spin 1918; Avg 1897). His 11/5 curveball (61-65) shows gradual action. (Max spin 1733; Avg 1718). His changeup (63-65) had arm side control and fading action.

Begins in an open crouched stance with a controlled load, then uses a short stride. Bat speed was quick, and showed an upward swing plane. He barreled up multiple balls during the round. Solid while in the infield, made throws at velocities up to 80 mph; had consistent hands, a natural exchange, and athletic footwork. Behind the plate, his best recorded throw to second was clocked at 77 mph; had athletic quick footwork, a clean exchange, and soft hands. Had quick feet and transfers on his throw downs, recording a 1.96-2.02 pop time. Narrow setup with some flexibility.
