Power / Speed Score
A simple calculation that divides the athlete’s Exit Velocity Max by the athlete’s 60 Yard Dash time for the given event year. For example, 98 MPH / 7.00s = 14.00.
Body Type: 5-foot-11, 160 pounds. Leaner build to him. Swing Mechanics: Shows a narrow based stance in the box. Swings with an uphill bat path staying in the zone well.
Hit: Closes off stance a little causing him to shoot pitches the other way more effectively than pull-side.
Power: 78 mph exit velocity.
Offensive Projection: Station to station guy with ability to knock in gaps.
Run: 7.63 60-yard. Field: First baseman showed hands worked well with glovework as he fields it. His footwork is playable and can improve swiftness to gain more mobility. Puts throws on the bag to improve chances of double play being successful.
Throw: 77 mph across the diamond to third base. Threw it well to second base too after getting off the bag. Defensive Projection: First base. Good sized athlete with room to fill.
2/10/19 Pitching
Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Releases out of a ¾ slot with shorter, clean arm action in his delivery. Mechanics were smooth in general. Threw out of stretch position entire outing producing an even tempo in his motion. Fastball: 71-73 mph.Not much run to it and threw for strikes.
Curveball: 62-64 mph. Nice breaker with slower spin an 11-5 action. Locates it well too.
Changeup: 64-66 mph. Has glove-side run to it without much depth. Pitchability: Threw pitches for strikes. Arm speed consistency is progressing on his off-speed pitches. Will allow for more velocity on those as well as increased movement/spin.
Role: Bullpen.
