Physical: Compact, athletic build at 5-foot-10, 175lbs with some feel for the game. 7.35 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH - Wide, traditional start with the hands in a good position to attack. Utilized a leg-lift stride with some additional stretch in the load, initiating the swing through a flat turn towards a high one-handed finish. Sat on the backside well with minimal effort needed to launch into the zone. Recorded a consistent round with a 71% sweet spot rate, staying on the barrel through the middle of the field en route to an 89 mph bat-exit velocity. Created some natural bat lag at times, which bodes well for future power projection.
Defensively: The third baseman bent in the knees with good posture on the approach. Was able to get downhill on occasion with a soft glove hand playing accurately outside/inside his frame. Really drove the hips through multiple shuffles before releasing with high intent from a H ¾ slot up to 74 mph across the diamond.
Pitching: RHP - The righty began off of the left side of the rubber with quicker pace down the slope. Reached a higher leg lift above the waist with some hip coil and used drop/drive to enter the zone from a H ¾ slot. The FB played heavy at times with varied command to the arm-side at 74-75 mph. Mixed a solid 68-70 mph CB that created deception out of the hand and showed some feel to spin the baseball. Countered with a quality 70-72 mph CH that faded off the plate and held the zone at a 67% clip.
