7/12/17
A right-handed hitter that starts in an athletic setup. Uses a leg kick for timing and energy. Barrel moves back fluidly prior to swing decision. Swing is smooth with obvious barrel whip through the zone. Flashed above average bat speed and solid strength through contact. Gets barrel on plane early, allowing him to use the entire field. A line drive guy that routinely found the gap in batting practice. From the outfield, his approach is in rhythm with the ball. Fields the ball on his glove side foot and shuffles his feet to gather momentum. Throws from a 3/4 slot with a long arm action. Ball comes out of the hand well with average arm strength. On the mound, the southpaw has a fluid delivery. Low effort guy on the mound. Front foot lands towards the plate upon impact. Throws from a ¾ arm slot with a loose arm. Fastball has developing speed with little side to side movement. Curveball comes in on a 1-7 tilt with gradual break. Also offers a developing changeup. Pitch is thrown with a slower arm speed than his fastball.

5-foot-10, 160-pound thin, projectable body frame. Right-handed hitter starts from a balanced stance using a controlled toe tap back to generate weight shift with his lower half. Has a fluid load with his hands moving to his back shoulder. Swings with a level bat path through the zone, showing the ability to use both sides of the field. Recorded a top exit velocity of 84 mph and ran a 7.52 60-yard dash. From the outfield, he shows average footwork. Shows a loose arm action into a high ¾ slot with 71 mph arm strength. On the mound the lefty has a full, hands over the head wind up, in a delivery that doesn’t require much effort. He uses simple, repeatable mechanics to throw with. Has a straight up and down leg lift, landing in a straight line at foot strike, finishing with good direction to the plate. Throws using average arm speed, through a ¾ slot. Fastball was between 64-69 mph. Curveball has gradual break with 1/7 tilt between 55-56 mph. Threw his slider with tighter break, than his curveball consistently at 60 mph. Used fastball arm speed while throwing his changeup at 60-63 mph.
