6/19/18

A right-handed hitter that starts in a balanced stance. Offers a toe turn for timing with quiet hands until swing decision. Path is level and swing is compact. His loose hands generate easy, natural whip through the zone. Generates above average strength/speed throughout the zone with nice jump to the gaps. Middle of the lineup type. A first baseman with feel for the spot. Mechanically sound with fluid actions. Ball skills and athleticism are both above average. Graded out as an above average defender over there.

2/14/18

A good athlete over at first base. Gets off the bag very well with some feel. Ball skills have room to grow but should be playable for the position before it’s all said and done. Arm whips through a high-¾ slot as he tosses it across the diamond. Arm already plays as an above average tool and looks to have more in the tank. At the plate the right-hander starts in an athletic setup. Loading sequence is fluid before accelerating the barrel through the zone on a downhill path. Bat speed stands out and strength isn’t far behind. Ball really jumped off his bat when he found the barrel. Much more to come from Miller as he fills out his very projectable frame and levels out path. A two-way prospect who stood out on the mound as well. Arm is loose with obvious whip and above average strength/armspeed for class. Fastball comes out well with natural run at 78-81 mph. Breaking ball was very sharp with late action at 67-71 mph. The pitch has present swing and miss to it. Will slow arm a bit on changeup that has heavy run with some dive at 65-69 mph.
