Kasey Kish: C/OF, (2022) Walsh Jesuit, OH. 5-foot-11, 205-pound physical frame. Projectable at the plate, the right-handed hitter had a max exit velocity of 94 mph. Started in an athletic balanced stance with a quick compact load, then used a toe tap. Bat speed is quick and shows a flat rotational swing plane. Laterally, his movements were athletic. While catching, his best position velocity throwing to second was registered at 75 mph; showed a clean exchange, soft hands, and smooth athletic feet. Displayed his ability to control the run game with a pop time of 1.93-2.03. Clean setup with above average flexibility. Had consistent accuracy to the base with a quick arm action. Clocked a 60 time of 7.31 at the event.
7/21/20
Hit: Obvious tools here. Upper 70s bat speed with near 30gs of rotational acceleration according to blast. Also got up to triple digits off the bat. Looked cleaner movement wise then we saw this winter as well. Ball really jumps when squared, especially to pull side. Solid round. Power: Gap abilities. Offensive Projection: Multiple Roles. Max BP Exit Velocity: 100mph. Max BP Distance: 365ft. Field: Corner skill set in the outfield. Plays fast throughout sequence with serviceable ball skills. Throw: Arm is a big time tool. Defensive Projection: Corner.

2/15/20 Pitching Delivery Notes: On the mound Kish creates pretty good momentum down the mound and rides his back hip well into front foot strike. He throws from a lower ¾ arm slot and creates good leverage out front on his fastball. Naturally athletic arm action. Fastball: The fastball was 80-84 mph with some fade to the arm side at times. Fastball Spin Rate: 1850-1960 Curveball: His breaking ball was 67-68 mph decent bite. Curveball Spin Rate: 1970-2010 Changeup: The changeup was 70-71 mph.
2/15/20 Position Player Hit: At the plate Kish uses a toe tap load and creates a good stretch through his midsection to create good bat speed through the zone. He gets into his back hip fairly well and drives his barrel through the zone well. Top BP Exit Velocity: 96.1 mph Top BP Distance: 339 feet Offensive Projection: Definite power upside as gains more body control and athleticism in his swing as he matures. Field: Behind the plate he showed average footwork and quickness with above average arm strength and carry on his throws. Quick transfer on his throws, good hands. In the outfield he takes aggressive routes to the ball with average footwork and good carry on his throws. Throw: 82 mph from behind the plate. Defensive Projection: C

2/9/20 Position Player Hit: At the plate Kish uses a toe tap load with a slight armbar during his load. Shows a somewhat flat bat with good bat speed. Ball seems to jump off the bat. Power: 86 mph exit velocity. Offensive Projection: Probably will develop into a gap to gap threat. Linedrive approach. Field: Behind the plate Kish shows good physical tools with a quick arm and feet. Needs to polish footwork. In the outfield he shows average footwork and rhythm to the ball. Plays through the ball fairly well and shows a quick arm. Throw: 89 mph from the outfield and 82 mph from behind the plate. Defensive Projection: Presently projects equally well as a corner OF or C. Skill refinement will be crucial as he already shows good natural physical tools.
6/18/19
Body Type: 5-foot-11, 175-pound athletic frame. Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Uptempo, quick pace to a delivery that requires some effort. ¾ right-hander with a fast arm and sweeping arm action. Ball comes out well. Fastball: 76-80. Fastball stays true through the zone with a little late arm side action. Above average command with good feel for the primary pitch. Curveball: Changeup: 71-73. Room for development and increased use of the secondary pitch, but when used, very effective and located well. Pitchability: Room for improvement on secondary offering as well as added velo down the road. Expect maturity to add to increased ability on the mound down the road. Average for his class. Additional Comments:
Body Type: 5-foot-11, 175-pound thin and athletic frame.
Swing Mechanics: Slightly open stance with a fluid and athletic load.
Hit: Down hill bat path with a pull side approach. Good feel in the box.
Power: Pop to the pull side.
Offensive Projection: Top of the lineup guy. Field: Good athlete out there that plays under control. Ball skills are above average for class. At the catcher position, he has an open stance with quick and efficient feet. Receiving and blocking skills are still developing. Throw: 3/4 right-hander with more strength to come. Defensive Projection: C/OF.
