Lucas Basta: SS/OF, (2026) Little Miami, OH. 5-foot-10, 168-pound lanky projectable frame. (67.3 mph bat speed average). (21.1 mph hand speed average). Starts in a pre-loaded stance with a compact load, then uses a toe tap stride. Bat speed was quick efficient, had a short simple swing plane and balanced finish. Had loud contact and found lots of barrels. Gap to gap approach. In the outfield, he showed a plus arm and had life on his throws with a position velocity of 88 mph. Confident advanced showed his live arm in the infield with position velocities up to 86 mph; had next level hands, a clean natural exchange, and consistent footwork. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were quick athletic. Used athletic slot and a short very quick arm action while showing consistent accuracy to the bag. The athletic recruit showcased his speed with a sub-seven 60 time of 6.89. (Max spin ; Avg ).
