Solid from the outfield, he showed the ability to throw at velocities up to 80 mph; had a natural exchange, consistent footwork, and soft hands. Laterally, movements were athletic and fielded the ball out front. Had a high ¾ slot with a consistent arm action. Began in a balanced athletic stance with a quick load, then used a controlled stride. Bat speed is present, displays a simple upward swing plane and good extension on his finish. Solid in the outfield, his best throw of the day was clocked at 81 mph; showed soft hands, a natural exchange, and consistent feet. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were athletic. Used a high ¾ slot with a quick arm action. Displayed speed and athleticism at the event, recording a 60 time of 6.6. 

Matthew Gast: OF/RHP, (2023) Perrysburg, OH. 6-foot-2, 190-pound. At the plate, the right-handed hitter was ranked 2nd with an exit velocity of 97 mph. (65.7 mph bat speed average). (19.0 mph hand speed average). Starts in a balanced athletic stance with a compact load, then uses a controlled small leg kick. Bat speed was flashed quick, displayed a simple uphill swing plane and good extension on his finish. Solid in the outfield, his best throws to the infield topped out at 81 mph; has a clean exchange, consistent feet, and soft hands. Laterally, movements were athletic and fielded the ball out front. Used a loose arm action and a high ¾ slot. Displayed speed and athleticism at the event, recording a 60 time of 6.88. 

Matthew Gast: OF/RHP, (2023) Perrysburg, OH. 

6-foot-2, 175-pound. Solid at the plate, Gast clocked an exit velocity of 91 mph. Begins in a balanced stance with a smooth load, then uses a leg kick. Bat speed is explosive and displays an upward swing plane. Found multiple barrels with some loud contact. Gap to gap approach. Solid in the outfield, his best throws to the infield topped out at 79 mph; showed raw hands, average feet, and a developing exchange. Fields the ball deep. Clocked a time of 7.13 in the 60-yard dash. Raw on the mound, showed some arm speed, also used a high ¾ arm angle and a long arm action. Slow-tempo type pitcher who shows decent effort. a falling 

Hit:6-foot-2 projectable bat that swings it from the right side. Uses a leg lift timing trigger as hands stay quiet through load into launch. Aggressive hacks with a mostly level path that can get uphill at times. Both bat speed and strength are well above average tools for the 2023 class.
Power:Gap pop with more to come as he fills out.
Offensive Projection:Run producer.
Field:Plays with a confident pace throughout his sequence in the outfield. Nice, one-handed play through where he showcases ball skills on par for class.
Throw:Long loose arm that should easily add strength with maturity.
Defensive Projection:Multiple Spots.

Body Type: 5-foot-11, long limbed frame with room to add.
Swing Mechanics: A right-handed hitter that starts in a balanced stance. Goes with a leg kick timing trigger as hands stay quiet through load.
Hit: Handsy hitter with a compact stroke. Movements are unique but the speed through the zone is there. All fields hitter with most natural ball flight to the big part of the field.
Power: Line drive hitter with flashes of gap abilities.
Offensive Projection: Multiple Roles.
Field: Moves well in the outfield. Aggressive defender with quick feet and above average ball skills.
Throw: Arm strength will be area for improvement moving forward.
Defensive Projection: Corner look to him.

Body Type: 5-foot-11, long limbed frame with room to add.
Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Works exclusively from the stretch. Slower paced tempo to the delivery. Over the top arm action with developing arm speed.
Fastball: 66-69 mph. High efficiency, lower spin rate guy. Showed a few 100% spin efficiency readings.
Changeup: 60-61 mph. Maintains arm speed on the offering that has a fastball look out of the hand before showing some dip into the zone.
Pitchability: Strike thrower.

5-foot-10, 130 pound athletic built pitcher throws right handed out of a ¾ arm slot with shorter arm action at release. Produces and even tempo and average mechanical work. Showed nice intent behind actions also. Fastball was 63-66 mph with arm side run. Changeup was 55-57 mph. A right-handed hitter that starts in an athletic stance. Hands stay simple during his leg kick timing mechanism. Swing has uphill tendencies. Would be aided by leveling out path to take advantage of his well above average strength and bat speed. Swing plays best presently to opposite field gap. Posseses the tools to be a run producer, showing impressive barrel jump when he squared it up. In the infield he does a nice job of creating angles with his feet to play through the baseball with rhythm. Actions remain fluid throughout fielding sequence. Glove looks to be a reliable tool. Arm strength would be his area for improvement.
