Notes

Comments

7/24/19

Body Type: 6-foot-3, 185-pound lengthy frame.
Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Starts off with a slow and steady pace before becoming upbeat and aggressive towards the plate. Uses the lower half but still more left in the tank. A short arm action that isn’t far from being efficient.
Fastball: 76-78mph. Apparent glove side movement. 1,800-2,000 rpm spin rate with low 80% efficiency. In the zone consistently.
Curveball: 62-65mph. Moves on a near 12/6 plane for a wrinkle of an offering with more depth over action. Thrown in the zone consistently.

Changeup: 70-72mph. A solid offering with sharp arm side drop. Least utilized pitch but an effective pitch.
Pitchability: Strike thrower.

2/3/19
Body Type: 6-foot-3, 170-pound physical, long limbed frame.
Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Uptempo delivery that has some effort to it. More arm speed than velo would suggest. A type of guy that could be in the low 8’s come summer.
Fastball: 75-78 mph. Mostly true with some late life to it.
Curveball: 63-64 mph. 11/5 wrinkle breaking ball with big shape. In the zone often.
Changeup: 70-71 mph. Maintains arm speed on the offering that will show some run.
Pitchability: Showed the ability to locate all offerings.
Additional Comments: Much improved from last year. Showed signs of being a potential sleeper arm.

6/20/18
The 6-foot-2, 165-pound right handed 2020 pitching prospect with room to develop physically. Ball comes out of the high ¾ slot. Delivery requires more than moderate effort while the ball comes out of the hand following a clean arm action. Puts himself in a great position to field his spot. Fastball stays true through the zone at 70-73 mph. Curveball is a 11/5 breaker with gradual break at 56-61  mph. Changeup shows fade at 63-64 mph. Presents the to throw both secondary offerings for a strike.

6/13/18
A right-handed pitching prospect in the 2020 class. Works exclusively from the stretch. A drop and drive type who gets solid use out of his lower half through an efficient hip load. Arm action is long and loose through a high-¾ slot. Shows signs of more velocity to come. Presently sits 72-77 mph with slight arm side action. Compliments fastball with an 11/5 shaped breaking ball that has gradual action at 60-62 mph. Also flashed a changeup, maintaining arm speed at 69-70 mph.

2/4/18

On the mound the right-hander features a balanced, moderate effort delivery. Arm action is long, generating above average arm speed through a high-¾ slot. Fastball stays mostly straight through the zone at 72-75 mph. Should have more in the tank as he adds strength to his projectable frame. Loses a bit of arm speed on his breaking ball that displays gradual movement on an 11/5 plane. Spins the pitch in the zone 60-61 mph. Also tosses a changeup with feel at 68-69 mph.

1/22/17
6-foot-0, 145-pound prospect. On the mound the right-hander has a smooth tempo and creates solid momentum with his lower half to home plate. Arm action is clean while working through a high-3/4 slot. Fastball sat 68-73 mph.  Breaking ball showed and 11/5 shape with gradual break at 55-60 mph. Changeup was impressive at times, showing late action while maintaining fastball arm speed. As he matures he will need to be in the zone more consistently with secondary stuff.
