9/17/17

Two-way prospect. At the plate he has a smooth loading sequence prior to turning up intent at swing decision. Path is level and he has more natural pop than exit velocity would indicate. Strength stands out in swing and he generates gap to gap pop. In the infield he does a nice job with his pre fielding footwork to create angles. Plays through the baseball smoothly and efficiently. Glove works well and ball skills stay outside funnel. In general an above average defender who can make all the plays for the position. On the bump he has an uptempo delivery and likes to work quickly. A cross fire type guy with a loose arm. Throws al his offerings with intent and confidence. Fastball currently sits around 80 mph and he projects for more velocity. Will drop arm slot occasionally to sidearm. Breaking ball is tight and has sharp break. More of a sweep than down and does enough to miss barrels.

8/6/17

A right-handed hitter that starts in a tall setup. Shifts weight back during load. Launches from a balanced setup. Path is level with noticeable whip. Showed barrel awareness and above average bat speed. Produced line drives to the middle of the field in BP. At third base he plays under control and has athleticism to his actions. Plays low through the baseball, showing soft hands. Arm is clean with enough strength to stay at the position. Projects as well above average defender. On the mound the right-hander has a fluid tempo to a delivery that requires little effort. Arm is loose with some whip to it. Expect more velocity to come, currently sits in the high 70s. Will drop arm angle to side arm at times on his fastball. Loses some velocity but adds more movement. His primary secondary offering was his breaking ball. The pitch is sharp and has potential to grow into an out pitch as velocity increases.
