2/17/19

2/17/19 Position

Body Type: 5-foot-10 165-pound prospect.

Swing Mechanics: Starts in a medium, balanced stance. Swing shows some natural lift and he keeps his barrel through the zone well.
Hit:
Good bat to ball ability.

Power: 77 mph exit velocity.

Offensive Projection: If he can add some strength to his frame he could develop into more of a gap to gap offensive threat.

Field: 2.04-2.19 pop time. Behind the plate he showed good footwork and a quick exchange. He had a quick arm with slightly above average carry on throws. Although fundamentally pretty sound, he didn’t show much quickness or explosiveness to his movements.

Throw: 74 mph from behind the plate.
Run:
4.58 home to first.

Defensive Projection: Shows some fundamental polish that would translate well behind the plate at the next level. Needs to focus on improving his physical tools so he can maximize his baseball skills.

1/30/18

Swings it from the right side, starting in an athletic stance. Hands move slightly back during his leg kick timing trigger. Bat travels through the zone on a slightly downhill path, showing noticeable barrel whip through the zone. A handsy hitter that worked mostly to his opposite field gap. Strength and bat speed are both on par for class. Arm strength and accuracy is on par for class behind the dish. Feet are quick and he looks to have feel back there.

Home to First: 4.62

Catcher Velocity: 71

Pop Times: 2.07-2.14

Exit Velocity: 79
