Pierce Manson: 1B/RHP, (2027) Zane Trace, OH. 6-foot-3, 190-pound. (56.9 mph bat speed average). (19.1 mph hand speed average). Began in a balanced quiet stance with a controlled load, then used a small leg kick. Bat speed is developing, displays a simple upward swing plane and good extension on his finish. Solid in the infield, his best throw was registered at 75 mph; has a natural exchange, sure hands, and choppy feet. Laterally, movements were athletic and fielded the ball out front. Had a consistent arm action with a high ¾ slot. On the mound, showed consistent arm speed, also used a loose longer arm action and a high ¾ arm angle. Tall-and-fall type pitcher and uses some effort. Showed slight running action. (Max spin 1957; Avg 1823). Showed a 11/5 curveball with tight sweeping action. (Max spin 2629; Avg 2450).
