Russell Stratman: SS/2B, (2025) Vandalia Butler, OH. 5-foot-8, 150-pound. (61.2 mph bat speed average). (17.3 mph hand speed average). Began in a quiet stance with a controlled load, then used a quick stride. Bat speed was efficient, showed a loose level swing plane and high finish. Solid while in the infield, registered his best throw across the diamond at 75 mph; had a natural exchange, consistent footwork, and soft hands. Movements laterally were athletic and he fields the ball out front. Showed a quick arm action and a high ¾ slot.
Russell Stratman: SS/RHP, (2025) Vandalia Butler, OH. 5-foot-6, 135-pound lean athletic frame. In the box, the right-handed hitter had a max exit velocity of 77 mph. Started in an athletic balanced stance with a slow load, then used a controlled leg kick stride. Had an an inside-out flat swing plane, developing bat speed and level finish. Athletic in the infield, his position velocity was registered at 59 mph; has sure developing hands, a clean exchange, and athletic developing feet. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were athletic. On the mound, showing consistent arm speed he used a short arm action and a ¾ arm angle. Drop-and-drive type pitcher who shows some effort. Showed a consistent balance point. Displayed recoil finish Threw his fastball 62-64 mph; had arm side command and running action. (Max spin 1640; Avg 1551). Shows gradual action on his 11/5 curveball (51-53). (Max spin 1471; Avg 1381). His changeup (53-56) has fading action and arm side command.
