Hit:Right-handed hitter with an athletic,balanced stance. Physical, strong frame with a present combination of quickness and explosiveness. Loading sequence is simple, with a subtle leg kick and back load to hands.
Power: Easy Gap Abilities
Offensive Projection: Run Producer
Field:Worked out from the 3B and OF position. Calm, collected tempo in his approach to the ball. Slight stiffness to movements, with serviceable ball skills. Looks more comfortable in the outfield, but is more than respectable in the infield.
Throw: Above average arm strength
Defensive Projection: UTL
Hit: Physical/athletic presence in the box. Simple movement patterns prior to launch with a rotational sequence during acceleration phase. Smoked balls in BP. All the tools are present.
Power: Easy jump, with almost everything 90+ off the bat.
Offensive Projection: Run producer.
Max BP Exit Velocity: 94mph.
Max BP Distance: 346ft.
Field: Plays fast with consistent rhythm in the outfield, ball skills are serviceable as he showed a mostly clean play through.
Throw: Ball has some jump out of the hand.
Defensive Projection: UTL.
1/26/20 Position Player
Hit: At the plate the righty uses a back load to hands during small leg lift. Balanced launch with a nice, level path through the zone. Physical kid with above average bat speed. Definitely has some twitch in there.
Power: Raw pull side pop. Ball came off well.
Offensive Projection: Run Producer ceiling.
Top Rapsodo BP Exit Velocity: 91 mph.
Top Rapsodo BP Distance: 388 ft.
Field: Plays fast in the outfield, getting to and through the baseball with good pace. Ball skills are on par for class. Also worked out in the infield. Rangy defender that has a left side of the infield look to him with a third base lean.
Throw: Velo plays up due to transfer. 86 mph strength to home plate, 83 out of the infield.
Defensive Projection: Multiple Spots.
1/27/19
Body Type: 6-foot-1, 166-pound prospect that is impressively built.
Swing Mechanics: Very athletic load, using a leg kick/bat tip combination.
Hit: Young hitter with potential. Athletic moves in the box with feel for the barrel. Line drive swing that plays to both gaps. Very complete, impressive round.
Power: 83 mph exit velocity. Much more to come. I would bet on this number to be much higher down the road.
Offensive Projection: Middle potential.
Run: 4.47 H-1st.
Field: Plays under control in the infield with shorter footwork. Actions are much more athletic on the move. Ball skills are on par for class.
Throw: Showed 72 mph arm strength across the infield. Accurate thrower that should see more mphs.
Defensive Projection: TBD.
Additional Comments: Will need to improve as a defender but the hit tool makes him a follow in class.
