Roman McKarus: LHP/OF, (2025) Sylvania Northview, OH. 5-foot-9, 155-pound athletic build. (66.0 mph bat speed average). (21.2 mph hand speed average). Began in a balanced stance with a quick controlled load, then used a toe tap stride. Had a loose swing plane, explosive bat speed and good extension on his finish. In the round he found lots of barrels with some loud contact. Aggressive gap to gap approach. Advanced from the outfield, he made throws to the infield at velocities up to 76 mph; has smooth consistent feet, a twitchy clean exchange, and soft sure hands. Laterally, movements were athletic and fielded the ball to the side. Consistent accuracy to the bag, used athletic slot and a short very quick arm action. Advanced on the mound, showing good arm speed he had a clean arm action with a high ¾ arm angle. Stretch only type pitcher who uses easy effort. Displays in line shoulders and a consistent balance point. Lands square with a clean finish. (Max spin 1698; Avg 1635).
