Sterkenberg wasn’t a well-known name heading into the event but that won’t be the case anymore. The 2022 right-hander from Watson Elite looks the part at 6-foot-3, 195-pounds and he controls himself well on the mound while working downhill. Sterkenberg constantly got ahead in the count and the fastball sat comfortably at 82-85 mph from a high-¾ arm slot. He also showed feel for a breaking ball at 67-70 during his two innings. Another uncommitted senior that should generate some looks from college coaches.
