2023 OF and Utah commit, Ty Hamilton (Watson Elite), has been one of the top positional players on the Blaze during the first two days of the trip we’ve seen. Physical 6-foot-3, 210-pound frame and no doubt looks stronger and bigger in the box than the previous year. Came through with the biggest hit of the game, hitting a no-doubt HR to the pullside. Continues to put the ball in the play and provide offensive production against high-level arms. Also has arm strength in the outfield and covers ground well with good reads. Flashed his range and defending skills in CF, going back to the wall to make a tough play late in the game.
Uncommitted 2023 Ty Hamilton is a two-way, left on left player out of Ottawa that jumped on the mound for 1 inning of work yesterday. Fastball worked in the low 80’s while he showed some feel to spin the breaking ball with 1/7 shape and some downer action. It’s a controlled delivery with a medium arm stroke in the back that works online. One of the more physical and athletic players in his class at 6-foot-3, 200-pounds. Hamilton is someone who is only going to get better as the winter season approaches and can devote more time to baseball as is a talented basketball player as well.
