6/15/16 5-foot-11, 150-pound athletic frame. At the plate he starts slightly open before using a rhythmic leg kick load to get things started. Hands move back to a good launch position before getting the barrel through the zone on a level path. Found the barrel consistently in batting practice and reached a top exit velocity of 78 mph. In the infield he does a nice job of playing low and showed confidence in his glove. Would like to see him create angles prior to fielding to play through the ball more efficiently. He threw across the infield with 72 mph arm strength, using a high-3/4 slot. On the mound he has four pitches in his arsenal while working through a high-3/4 slot. Creates solid momentum to home plate with his lower half. Arm speed is average and arm action is relatively clean. Fastball showed run at times while sitting 78-81 mph. Displayed two different breaking balls. His curveball had big break on an 11/5 plane. Was able to throw the pitch for a strike consistently. Also showed a slider that had tighter, sharper action as it darted across the plate at 70-71 mph. Slider has more swing and miss qualities than curve. Also mixed in a changeup near fastball arm speed.
