Physical: Long and lean 6-foot, 165-pound frame with projection in the built and feel for all phases of the game. 7.68 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH. Tall, balanced stance with a slight bend in the knees as the hands show controlled rhythm low on the shoulder. Coupled a slight rock back into a strong backside with a launch position slotted at the shoulder to initiate a short, slightly uphill barrel path in the hitting zone. The mechanics of the swing are easy, there isn’t too much going on and the hands worked well from point A to point B. Got on plane early and generated lift towards the LCF gap when pitched above the belt, the hands really worked through the baseball to get to extension with long levers leading the way. Recorded a top bat-exit velocity of 81 mph according to Trackman Baseball with a max distance of 267 feet.
Defensively: The primary backstop featured quality receiving skills with a loose, but soft glove hand that beat the ball to the spot with regularity from an occasional low, one knee setup. Pop times ranged between 2.06-2.12 with smooth and efficient straight line footwork coupled with adequate feel for transfers. The arm worked long from a high ¾ slot with advanced strength, got the long frame around the ball on blocks with positive chest angles on either side of the plate. C - 74 mph … The outfielder displayed the ability to show off long strides covering ground in either direction, quick first step with a moderately low center of gravity, athleticism in the approach while fielding off of the left side of his body. Accurate throwing arm from his position with carry, OF - 79 mph
6/26/18 - 5-foot-9, 140-pound right-handed hitter starts from a slightly open stance and initiates his swing with a lift-and-replace stride. Showcased above average defensive skills behind the plate with pop times of 2.21-2.29 on throws of 72 mph. The right-hander sat 68-72 out of a 3/4 arm slot with some hip coil to his delivery.
